Import Packages
Aternity allows the transfer of items by exporting them from one account and importing them into another. Currently, a user can export Remediation actions, Service Desk Alert (SDA) rules, and saved advanced dashboards. For example, if a user is a Managed Service Provider (MSP), he might want to transfer these items from one account to another. Each item is exported as a ZIP file. To export multiple item types, the user needs to combine the individual ZIP files into a single archive containing the smaller ZIP files.

The Flow
Exporting Items:
- Navigate to the Aternity account containing the items you want to transfer.
- Export Remediation actions, Service Desk Alert (SDA) rules, and saved advanced dashboards. Each of these items will be exported as individual ZIP files.
- If you need to export multiple item types, combine the individual ZIP files into a single archive containing the smaller ZIP files.
Importing Items:
- Log in to the target Aternity account where you want to import the items.
- Upload the ZIP file(s) containing the exported items.
- Import the items into the target account, ensuring they are correctly integrated and functional.
- This process is particularly useful for Managed Service Providers (MSPs) who need to transfer tuned items between different accounts.
The Use Case
The Aternity UI standard layout of any page without dashboards or other data.
The mockup below illustrates an error alert that appears when a user uploads a zip file containing inconsistencies.
The Import Packages page includes a different section per each item type with its own specifications.
Users can track progress visually during the import process with a dynamic progress bar, a real-time number of imported packages, and a list that describes successes or errors. If the user terminates the import process, the dialog alert appears.
